America's next top model

today i watched my first "America's next top model" show for the first time in this sem....
just realised how much i miss the show....
in today's episode, the challenge for the girls was to be an interviewer.... how to carry yourself confidently in front of other ppl that might be intimidating...That's really skill man!!!
who would really thought of such a challenge in a modelling competition... This is wad makes me think that being a model is more than just looks.... it's also about confidence and wad is inside u...
(haha...does this sound so cliche.... ya, wadever... but i really think so after i watch this show...)

Then the second challenge was for the girls to take two roles in one photograph... yeah, u didnt read wrongly. they were supposed to be 2 persons in one picture, of course with the help of photoshop or maybe other more sophisticated software that i may not even hear abt before...haha... and it's not any two roles... they were supposed to pose as "celebrity couples"...think Brad and Angie...haha

The most interesting ones are: Donald Trump and Melanie, and Britney and K-Fed...haha...
Donald trump one was ultimately funny (cant remember the name of the model)....but the make up was really crazy... turn a model into a millionaire..hahaz
okay, enuf of ANTM...gotta catch it again next week! must!!

btw, i cant wait for spidey anymore..haha

omg! so cool!!! watch out spidey....dun fall off the roof...

here's another one...haha

the S word....

Yes, u may have guessed correctly wad the S is for... S stands for stress... there's no other words that i can even think of now...
all i've been doing since last thursday is to mug n mug n mug...
honestly, i've been pushing myself beyond my normal standard.
usually, at least i'll have more breaks in between my studying time....
now, surprisingly, I was able to resist myself from other distractions and nicely sit down in R2 study room almost 12 hours a day, or even more sometimes... this is world record for me!!! haha...

okay, nothing to be proud about since i think most ppl here are doing that...sigh

but seriously, this exam period has driven me a bit crazy... but luckily i still can maintain a bit of sanity...(hopefully)

these are some of the quirky n bad things that has been happening from the days leading to exams till today (i still have 3 papers more to go by the way....huaaaaa!!!!!)
  • NUS is seriously lack of power point and benches... if u go to the library n any open areas n want to use your laptop, better come early to "chop" the plug...if not, u r doomed!!
  • Ppl are so deprived of studying area that they dun mind sitting down on the floor along the corridor.... i've seen some doing that in PGP...
  • U studied so hard for maths and thought that it was the most prepared module among other screwed-up modules n yet you flunked it. and the worse thing, the paper was considered doable if not easy to some.
  • after your maths paper on saturday, you had lunch with your friends and talked to them (this is still normal)... and thennnn, u found out that all the while you've been thinking that CN exam is on monday, CM exam is on thursday.... and it's all WRONG!!! CM shld be on monday, CN on thursday... yes, basically it means that u've prepared for the wrong papers... sigh.... to make things worse, there are 2 exams on monday... now, u are unprepared for 2 papers.... and you only have less than 2 days to "do your best"... hm, i wonder how that can happen...
  • Fire alarm in PGP rang twice at 4 o'clock or 5 o'clock or 4 o'clock (haiz, cant rmb....but basically around that time) in the morning before CM paper... and after that your sleep was interupted by constant fear of being overslept for CM paper at 9 am... which would mean a total waste of effort during the weekend if that really happens...(luckily not). Interestingly, in between that interupted sleep, you managed to actually get into a dream... nightmare more precisely : there's a fire opposite your house... (must be the fire alarm effect)
  • It's monday morning and you were still rushing through the last 2 chapters of your CM notes and your exam was in 1 hr time... you were just reading through without anything going into your mind. The "amazing" thing was: while you are studying CM throughout the weekend, you realised that nothing has got into your mind during lectures in term time... so, basically you were trying to learn everything from scratch... seriously, i dunno wad i've been doing before this, quite a few of my notes are like "untouched". This sem is such a waste of time...
  • the afternoon after CM paper which turns out to be a ULTRA disastrous (as expected), you still have another marketing paper to sit for... and you have 4 more chapters to go...and 4 more hours left.... so you wanna try to find some empty seats at the study room in sch and found that there's not even a single available seat to squeeze into... you had to resort to going to some benches along a dim corridor and strain your eye for some light to study... how pathetic..!!!
  • Surprisingly, you managed to finish reading through all the outstanding notes within that 4 hours and confidently went to the exam hall.... you did all the questions and finished the exam with happy feelings, not because you know you got all answers correct but because you know that nothing can be worse that CM paper in the morning....
  • But when you start talking n discussing with your friends, you found out that all the long essays that you've written are rubbish... long but non sense...haha that's the art of crapping!

"If there's a will, there's a way" -> that is one saying that i really need to adopt now!! haha

3 more papers to go...

3 papers in 2 days...how "wonderful"!

Breathe in the music...

heya everyone...
yep, at last i can feel a bit relaxed after being the library for almost the whole day....
i noe it's nothing good to brag about but i feel a sense of achievement. it's not easy to force yourself to sit down in that place fully packed with muggers.... but i've made it today!! haha...
hm.... although i must say that i didnt actually did much except for my physical chem.
i tried to start on my matlab assignment but i got stucked somewhere n i just gave up...

erh... did i just bore some of u with my schoolworks..haha... maybe i shld stop blogging abt my mugging schedules, if not this blog will just turn into another daily planner of some sort...

yes, as u have notice, there's a new section on the right side of my blog. It's from www.imeem.com for those of u who don't noe abt it....
it's like one of my favourite sites nowadays....
thx to vidi n yeanching who introduce me to this site... now i can find all the songs that i want
They even have indo songs...haha how great is that....
wheeeeee..... (yeanching's style)-- but warn u, u need fast internet to listen to the songs as one piece...duh!... thx to NUS unlimited internet access i have such a luxury now..haha

wad makes me so happy abt this site is that i can compile my own playlists and find all the songs that i've been looking for for ages... one of it is "hear 'em say" by kanye west. I remember listening to that song when i was still in vhall. Me n vidi would tune in to the radio (power 98) and when we heard that song, we would be super happy...haha... actually wad makes the song nice is the vocals by adam lavene (that maroon 5 lead singer)... oh ya, and the piano accompaniment oso. it's light, cute n so special...haha

there are also other songs like "Lost without you" and "Don't you worry bout the thing". I've been playing those 2 songs over n over again....(luckily it's not a Cassette or CD, if not it will be fully damaged by now)....
The first song "Lost without you" is by Robin Thicke... I began to know Robin Thicke during sec sch... at that time, i didnt even noe that his full name is Robin Thicke, only knew him as Thicke...haha...
but recently when i tuned in to the radio.... i was immediately hooked on by this song when the intro was played... i dunno why but the guitar accompaniment i just irresistable (couldnt find a better word to describe it)
Then the second song "DOn't you worry bout the thing" by John Legend... I remember sitting at Shaw house McCafe, mugging there with bebeth and this song was played over n over again... just love the tune n everything.... but actually the person who introduces me to this song was alice... haha i remember her telling me that it was "Hitch" soundtrack...and i love it ever since...

u noe, after compiling a playlist of my favourite songs, i can somehow make a generalisation of wad kind of song i like....
it's really not just by genre or by singer (or maybe i dunno wad genre it is called anyway).... but i can say that i like songs that are not just sang by singers with great voice but wad is important to me is really the music and the accompaniment. the kind of music that can make u feel "jumpy" or the kind of music that really soothes my mind...haha
hm... sounds so chiiiimmm.... but yeah....

wad's wrong with the weather??

hm, actually the title of this blog is a bit unimportant...(ga penting maksudnya...haha)
but it's true, the weather nowadays seems to fluctuate unpredictably.... i mean, one minute it is raining like storm, the next it has turn into bright sunny scorching day...

okay, the weather aside...
just came back from West coast park.... i havent been there for ages... the last time i went there (which was oso the first time) was when we took the junior batch (am pm) for an outing there...
it was like...ummmhhh, in 2003 or 2004....wah makes me feel so old only...haiz...
i remember climbing up all the structures there... oh i think i still have those photos somewhere in my drawer.... yes, those were the times when digi cam was still a luxury....

this time round, i went there with laura, maulana and ellys to survey the site for pinus bbq....
i kinda look forward to the bbq, not for the food but for the games n gathering. It must be exciting to play together after the exam stress and all...
west coast is a not-so-bad place to have a gathering n all that...coz they have huge field....i mean huge!!! then also got all the playgrounds for the MKKB ppl...haha maybe including myself....

but seriously, dun ever compare west coast to east coast.... east coast is definitely a much much better place to go... i mean, the atmosphere itself is so much different. East coast is more happening and most importantly. the BEACH!!... i learn to love beaches after staying at Vhall coz it's super near east coast. west coast on the other hand, i must say a bit pathetic lah....so near to the "containers" and ships....the view itself is just so so wrong...haha

but too bad, i bet if we organise the bbq at east coast nobody will bother to turn up...haha
