Fashion item this season: Scarf!!

Personally, i havent been following fashion trend a lot in the way i dress myself up.
I'm in Engineering faculty... therefore, jeans, shorts and T-shirts are the staples and you dun need to accessorise much... life is as humdrum as it can be, especially with exam coming near...

in the midst of studying for my test, i was watching one of my Taiwan shows from youtube (distraction as usual)... It's a girls/women show where they will show you the latest trend in fashion, body and face care...etc etc...

I stumbled upon this episode where they show you how to wear scarves, shawl or wadever u like to call it...
I know that scarf is getting popular, even in the hot weather of singapore... it is no longer a protective or winter clothing that people used to associate it with...
the first person around me that started the scarf-trend was ismy... I saw her wearing her checkered red scarf (something like the Scotland pattern...)

Scarf is nice and actually functional as you can wear it in many different manner depending on the shapes and sizes of the scarves and the person who wears it....
you can wear a boring plain black or white tee and put on a bright colored scarf, and TADA!! it become more than just normal...

and the thing is, living in the environment where you cant really escape air-con....(i have one in my room too), scarf can be a good friend when you are feeling freezing cold (like LT 7a that i have to sit in every other day)

watching that Taiwan show makes me wanna go shopping and get a nice scarf.. haha..

precious weekend!

have not been updating my blog regularly...
have been very tired of wad is happening around... i shall not mention here..

just wanna reflect about happy stuff that has been happening during the weekend that has just past..
my mom was in singapore for the whole week last week...which was just wad i needed at this point of time....
out of the 7 days, i only got to meet her for 3 days..
sad sad me... cruel cruel life...
but it was a fun 3 days...

cut my hair at shuji matsuo again... fresh look is wad i need now... (but i think i still have that "i-am-doomed" face... you shld noe why.... it's that time of the semester again! haiz)
shopped for dresses for dec wedding... yippiieee
didnt manage to find any sandals to match tho... either the price is too ex or the designs that i want dont have my size... sobz...

luckily monday is deepavali holiday, so i can send my mom to the airport....
but when i came back from airport... all the schwork, projects and dunno wad else are already haunting me... i was really quite stressed out for spending my weekend just like that...

had yoga that evening... feel quite refreshed at first, but gets so so so tired that i slept at 9 plus, almost 10... woke up the next day at 5... hahah... the first time ever in my NUS life that i woke up so early to do my work...

for now... i just need to get this negative thoughts from my mind and do my best...
i'm at this point where there is no turning back... so just do wadever i can...
jiayou!

Kettle Chips taste so good!!

haha yeah, the title of this post may sounds so shallow and random...
and yes, it is random indeed... haha and this post is dedicated to the packet of Kettle Brand Chips that I just finished.
(disclaimer: dont read if you think that you have no time... --> but the fact that you are reading my blog is actually a sign that you have too much time... so just read on then...)

Last week, I went to the Nanyang mart and I saw the racks filled with Kettle chips...I was so tempted to try coz i know it is supposed to be expensive and expensive stuff is supposed to be nicer (a bit of generalization here...)
I was so delighted when i thought that the price is only $2.00...yay!
so, i just grabbed a packet of Honey Dijon "tangy mustard seeks love at first bite"... that's what it says at the package.... just curious how is a Kettle different from a Lays or even a Pringles...

So, after grabbing some other stuff that I need from the mart, i went straight to the cashier and paid without even knowing how much i was paying for...
when i went to the canteen carrying the plastic bag full of my groceries, my friend commented..."Wah! buying Kettle chips arh..."
I hurriedly explained to him that I bought it because it was $2.00...
then he was like " ha? $2.00? so cheap!"
That was the time when i actually checked the packet of Kettle that I bought and I saw a $4.50 price sticker on it.....oh well...

hm... ya... how can I be so stupid to think that Kettle chips can be so cheap...

I has been bought anyway, so I might as well enjoy it to the fullest...
and indeed, I really enjoyed it. In my opinion, they should adopt KFC's finger-licking-good slogan.
It was so good that I even ripped the packet open and allowed my clean hands to get greasy just to reach the last few pieces of Kettle chips inside there... crunch!nyum! (*you should be salivating by now and maybe have a sudden rush of impulse to get a packet of Kettle chips from your nearby grocery store!)

So, how is Kettle chip different from Lays and Pringles you may asked...
To me, who is a potato lover... Pringles is the least of my favourite... simply because it is made from potato powder and not sliced potato itself (*but that doesnt mean that I will reject a Pringles if you offer me one)

That leaves me with Lays and Kettle... okay, at this point, flavour comes to play...
i have never tasted Honey Dijon before... so i think the unique flavour of Kettle gives it a slight advantage here...

So, here i present you the flattened-and-ripped open packet of Kettle chips that i have just finished...

and you have just wasted your precious time reading this post... i told you already... it is just a random post that i wanted to write.... and i was never paid by Kettle to do this hor....just for fun lah... and actually before this, i have been absent from potato chips for quite sometime due to my cough during the beginning of the semester.

let's stop a while before we move on again

last week was my mid term test week...
didnt really study much n was not satisfied with my own performance...
*not just about grades n marks*
i just feel that i have not put my best effort into my academics
and i think my 3121 project groupmates may not be very impressed with my contribution to the group...
i somehow feel that i'm super lost in the project and only did my minimum...
should really buck up now... should perform better in the next project...
*2 more projects for that module are waiting to come, not to mention the projects from other modules... really going crazy just to think abt it....

lalala...

studies aside,
had quite a jam-packed friday and saturday

friday nite: went out with cousin n cousin-in-law to be
place: clarke quay (Rennthai, cafe iguana)

Saturday afternoon: lunch with lita "belated bdae celebration for her"
place: vivo (thai accent)

satuday evening: Foongyi's bdae celebration
place: pasta de waraku, central; the pump room, clarke quay, east coast park

comments:
*i had 2 that food meals in 2 days, visited clarke quay 2 times in 2 days
*sudden visit to east coast at nite... haha... thanks to yeanching's crazy idea which is quite refreshing indeed... miss that place so much...
*pasta de waraku is nice!! tried the bacon & eggplant pasta...
*foongyi's bdae cake was very nice too! but too full to finish it after so much pasta... haha
*roti john (is that how u write it?) at east coast is yummy too... especially at 1 am when there's no more satay n stingray.. =)

after having so much fun, i think it's time for me to really pay more attention to studies...
have lots of things to catch up after the slightly slacked mid term week... huaaaa

hard to find

hm...
in a few post ago...i have posted 2 youtube videos. if i'm not wrong the title of the post was "ear candies". in those 2 youtube videos are the songs that i like from this particular taiwanese singer.... too bad for you guys who don't listen to chinese songs... but these are really good!

ok, back on track...
basically the original singer of those two songs is this quirky looking guy from Taiwan..."Lu Guang Zhong or 盧廣仲 "
i think you will laugh by just looking at his appearance...
the big horn-rimmed glasses, the plain Tee (of various colurs), the shorts, the long socks and the sneakers... oh ya, not forgetting the bowl-like haircut... hahaz

Yup, just something like this... haha...
weird, nerdy looking. This is the picture in his album cover.

but surprisingly, behind this look, you find a very unique and soothing voice...
and what i like the most from him is that he wrote his own songs... and his lyrics are just very funny sometimes...
and he plays his own guitar... weee

the two youtube videos that i uploaded previously are the two songs that i love the most from his new album... but i think i'm gonna grow liking his music more n more... 'that's how i am with music... the more i listen, the more i love'

Other than the two songs from the youtube videos, there is one more very interesting video of him that you guys shld see... prepare yourself.. haha

(nevermind about the lyrics... i oso dun understand... it's supposed to be something funny...but nvm)

super high pitch isnt it? haha.... if you are interested enough to find out... the original song that he just sang is something like this

*that's how he got his name "Vitas" i guess

okay... enough of the entertainment...
but wait...... there is one more thing...

i just found out something about this quirky guy....
he is born on the exact same day as meeee... 15 July 1986....
I was damn shocked to see it in one of the websites... haha...
it's really hard to find a person with the same birthday as me... amazingly, he was also born the same year... !! woohoo, how rare is that...

usually i wont be too proud if i have the things in common with some quirky, weird looking guy...
but this is different... he really writes good music... something really refreshing...

enjoy that!

grhhhh

Ppl say, separate business from personal life...
now i think it's true....
it's happening rite now i'm supossed to put myself in 3 perspectives...

on one side, i have to be professional and dun side anyone...
but on the other side... haiz... how can i not care abt my friends' feelings...
somemore i'm not the kind of person who will just say things blatantly...

seriously, i think that being an anti-social is not so bad after all at this point of time... or can i just vanish tmrw...

sick of life.. sick of organizational politics... sick of having to think so much...
why cant everybody just think more other than for themselves...
(sometimes what ppl believes n wad they practice is just totally no-link n rubbish!)

*moody mood*

need a change of lifestyle

hoah... it's been really long since the last time i updated my blog...
It's alrd the end of week 4 and beginning of week 5 of sch... time flies... and it flies in a jet speed.
It's kinda scary....

human is never satisfied... when i was working during holiday, i was really hoping to start school soon coz i just missed my friends and the happenings in school... but not when i'm actually going thru my semester... i kinda regret saying that.

school get so busy that u don't even have time to ponder or even get stressed over what your have in hand. or maybe i already learn to put the stress aside... just move on forward... that may be a good and bad thing... no stress means i just abandon some of my works without feeling any guilt... ckckck.... but it also means that i'm doing my own work at my own pace.....which is a good thing =P

after 4 weeks of business and chaos, at last this week i have a more exciting weekend.... out of NUS!!
hahah that sounds really crazy but it's true. i've rarely been out of NUS... even during weekends coz by weekend you just feel so lethargic and dont feel like travelling...
and i really love my room!! hahaha

okay, back about this weekend which is yesterday...
i practically just forget about wadever that i needed to and have a whole day out...
in the morning, i had a sumptuous breakfast at Holland v Swensens with Yuven, David, Angita, Dipta, Jessica, Cassie and Yovita... thanks Yuven for your birthday treat... haha...
actually must thank her organising this gathering... it's been such a long time since the last time i actually sit down slowly to enjoy my breakfast with the company of friends...

wad followed was a great shopping trip to Orchard... yes! shopping, something that i have been deprived of since the start of school.. I bought myself a box of snowskin mooncake, ipod cover and ... Samsung Omnia... haha though the Samsung Omnia is not for myself, i'm still feeeling very excited to get it... yoohoo!!! then we also had Ayam Penyet for "tea time" haha odd hour meal...

that's not all, at nite, we went to watch Citra's dance concert "Passage" with a whole lot of ppl (IsmyPatickYuvenEvaHaryantoJessicaSumitroErickWinstonMichaelGaby... fiuh, wad a long list) and showered her with love, flower and gifts.. haha. This is the first time i watch a contemporary dance concert in NUS... I must honestly complement that it was really impressive. Some ppl may find it boring, but i can appreciate this kind of dance... hip hop can get boring at times...
The lighting and costumes in the whole show was magnificent... the audience were in for a treat of visual impact... cool!

And of course, after concert will not be complete without supper... had to resort to Fong Seng coz that's like the only place open nearby NUS at that hour....

It was a long and tiring day, but it surely seems to be like the fun that i should had have during the 4 weeks of school compacted into just one day... okay... I should say, I am satisfied and revitalised for more things to come... =)

what i learn and what i hate...

it's been exactly the 7th day of work for me... yeah baby....7th day... sounds very short but yet feels very long alrd...
honestly, this whole working thing is not as good as it seems... haha... but actually i learn something too. Let's start from the negative... what i hate from work so far...

1. the ultimate stress causing is the phone calls... unfortunately, one of my duty at work is as an operator... so most of the times call will go thru' me or if nobody answers the call it will get directed to me...
at first, i really dreaded having to answer phone calls because i may not know how to tackle the queries since i was still new and didnt know much about how everything goes... but now that i get a bit more familiar with things... what bother me most is actually the phone ring... sometimes at the "peak" hour... the phone just cant seem to stop ringing.... i think people shld really ban phones sometimes... too much of it just gets you frustrated and irritated coz u just cant seem to get on with things that you are doing just because the phone ring keeps on pressing you to answer to it.

2. my day feels so short... somehow... when you go to school, however busy u are, you still feel that the day s longer... maybe it's be coz u have to listen to those boring lectures... haha... at least during lecture you still got to sit next to your friend and talkcock when "necessary"
but when you work... it seems that 24 hours is just never enough...
lemme do the math for you:
wake up and get ready at 6 am
leave hostel at 6.45 am
reach office at 8 am
finish work and reach back hostel at 6 pm plus...
total time = 12 hours...

so, literally i'm left with 12 hours.... from the 12 hours, minus 6 or 7 hours for me to sleep..
that leaves me with 5 or 6 hours... that may sound like a lot.... but really, it's never enough....

3. the people... honestly i think my supervisors-or wadever you called it- are nice people and they very patiently teach me every small thing.... but stilllll.... i dun feel as carefree as i can be anymore... haha... you will still think of them as your superior and cant afford to slacken...
the most awkward thing is that when we eat lunch together, nobody really chitchat.. ah.. boring people!!!

okay, may be all you hear so far from me has been all bad things about work...
yeah... but who doesnt complain abt work... after awhile, it gets mundane and too familiar and all you look forward to is THE WEEKEND!!!....

okay lah.. i do learn some stuff from work... i mean, when you do it everyday, you naturally pick up those skills...
like i said before, i was quite afraid of answering the phone before... but now, i learn how to tackle people's queries and questions and make sure that my point gets across.. altho it seems trivial but i feel that it is quite different from talking to people face to face where you can see the person's expression and body language...
hahah seems like i've been a bit too crappy here...

yeah... and tmrw is weekend already.... i mean friday... friday is a weekend too rite???
buttt result is out tmrw!!! huhuhu... getting a bit nervous....

hope i wont fall asleep again @ work tmrw... haha
nowadays i've been a good girl who never stay up at night until too late.... hehehe

ciaoooo wish me luck!!!

CN2125 revisited...

okay, the title of this post maybe a bit confusing for some, intimidating for some..
for those who doesnt know, CN2125 is a module that I took last semeseter... and it includes a heat exchanger design project...
yesterday we had our group dinner cum farewell to christiane, a german exchange girl in our group.

We had our dinner at Annalakshmi. Yes, from the name you can guess that it is an indian restaurant. apparently it is one of the famous Indian restaurant in Singapore. The concept of the restaurant is "Eat as much as you want, and pay as much as you think you shld"... not in exact phrasing but yeah... you get wad i mean... it is a restaurant for charity basically...

this is my first time eating in a vegetarian restaurant and first time eating in Indian restaurant. I am not a very adventurous person in terms of food, especially Indian food becoz i'm not too used to their rich spices and colourful cuisines...
butttt... this virgin experience at Annalakshmi retaurant was quite interesting coz I managed to try different kinds of Indian Bread... cahpati, nan, and i dunno wad else... haha can't really rmb.. but there is one that i really like... i oso dunno the name, but we nicknamed it "Spaceship".
Basically it's just like a dough which rise to give a ball shape... the slight milky taste was really tasty and I like it plain...

other than the breads, we also ordered different kind of curries.. red, orange, green... so rich in color... supposedly they are different but to me they taste just the same... only different filling....

oh ya, we also ordered the yoghurt.... I had the mango flavor one... but i like the Annalakshmi lassi (the name for the yoghurt drink) which had a bit of honey and orange taste and some other things... it was really nice..
one of us decided to be more adventurous and ordered a drink called Jeer Moor or something like that... it was really an "Acquired taste"... a "unique" taste to all of us... haha..
but in the end we managed to gulp it down... (each one take a sip...=))

my personal favourite of the day was a dish called Bhagi which is just vegetable fritter... haha...

Before i tried Annalakshmi, i never thought that I can appreciate Indian food, left alone vegetarian Indian food. but Annalakshmi is a really not bad place to try...

Tresure hunter...

this is the first weekend after i started working...
honestly i'm kinda nervous to face wad's going to happen on monday... coz the person whom i'm going to take over will not be there anymore... so i'll be on my own from monday onwards. Just hope that things will go on smoothly.
i'm just very scared of screwing up... jiayou!!!

ok, it's weekend now, and let's forget abt working for a while...

in this post, i just wanna share abt a taiwanese show that i am watching... actually have been watching for quite sometime.... called "Treasure hunter"... yes, cheesy as it sounds... it is really a game show... i have been a fan of taiwanese game shows because of the creative games.... actually many of the orientation games played in school are usually a copycat of wad i saw on the shows....

there are these few episodes of the show that i really liked and just watched today....
will just post some of the links here...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5G5olIgaevk&NR=1
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vtc_iFroVFM
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-C9UNUyJDA&feature=related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMfIVJvWqyE&feature=related

Why I like these episodes?? becozzz...They were set in Bali!!! yay!! have been wanting to revisit Bali. The first time i went to Bali when i was in primary school... and obviously at that time still dunno anything abt playing in the sea on that sort of things.... through this show, i can see wad's in store for visitors in Bali... of course the beautiful beach and the exciting water sports, water boom (water theme park.... i just knew that have one there!!), submarine, the luxurious hotel and last but not least bungee jumping... For that last one, i dun mean that i want to try.... put in one of the episode, there was quite a touching part lol.... just watch if you want to know...

hm... i will continue watching now...

glorious glorious day....

oh man!!!
i cant describe how happy i was a few minutes ago...
i just received a call from a company that is offering me a temporary job... hahah
it may not sound exceptionally glorious... but for me it is...
i've been looking for jobs for the past 1 week or so...
and everyone else has already got a job.. internship or part time...
so i've been feeling kinda lonely in pgp, especially in the afternoon...
worse still... i feel super useless for doing nothing and just spending off my parents' money.. haha dun like to be parasite... so old alrd still a parasite... haiyo...

that's why i feel extremely excited when the person called me just now...
thanks to josh who recommended me the job... i met him unexpectedly in pgp canteen and just casually asked him for any lobang in his company... and he was nice enough to still remember it and refer me to one...

this company is like the only company that contacted me out of so many that i applied to...
but yeah it's okay.... the pay is also not bad!! so i shall give it my best try...

btw, did i say that my first day of work is tmrw!! early morning again!!! hahah

ok...shall blog more abt my first day tmrw... hahah

ciao...wish me luck!!!

Tioman Part 2

As promise... here we are... continuation to my Tioman story...

so.. the 2nd day at tioman was really exciting...
we went SNORKLING!!! yeah, it was my first time trying and it was really fun.
Altough it is possible to snorkle without knowing how to swim, it is still kinda scary at first.... i have to cling on to ppl in order to feel a sense of security... though i had my lifevest on... feels quite bad to trouble the rest...=P

actually we had a more extended plan for the day with trekking, snorkling n fish feeding, but due to unfavourable weather, we had to give treking a miss...

so we had our lifevests, goggles and of course SUNBLOCK!... and ready to go.
we took a small motorboat, just the 6 of us and the "captain"....head off to our 1st stop which is the fish feeding area....It was a very bumpy ride to our first stop... yeah, u read correctly. It's bumpy coz of the waves...haha

Honestly, i kinda freaked out in the beginning when the person asked us to just get into the water without really having a proper demonstration and all that.. but he did briefed us on wad to do... but for someone like me who dunno how to swim n have no confidence in water, i felt quite insecure...
but in the end, i got into the water... swim with the fish and drink a bit of seawater in the process... some ppl even got bitten by the hungry fish...a good warm up before the actual snorkling...

then, we moved on to coral island. during the ride to coral island, we could alrd notice the change in weather, the wind got slightly stronger... but we still went on with the plan...
this is when the excitement really came.. haha
before we got into the water, the captain warned us about a whole lots of things... like dun get too far, dun go to the rock and cant rmb wad else...

then.... the wave started to get stronger, and before i really had time to calm myself down and enjoy the scene below... we all felt that we get further and further away from our boat... of course our first reaction was to push forward against the current to get back....
the current drifted us quite a far distance and our effort was totally useless... so we called for help from the captain to pick us up...
it took us a while before he came and responded to us... fiuhhhh

When we got back on the boat, the captain told us to not panic in that kind of situation, just follow the current and he will pick us up... hahaha... but wad to do... all first timers...
if i were to recall the situation at that time, it was really kinda scary but at the same time funny...haha

then we move to another spot and give it another try... and yes, this time round, we were much calmer and got to enjoy the beautiful corals and colorful fishes... it was such a waste that none of us got any disposable underwater camera...
here are some of the pictures taken while we were floating around...

before the dive, still dry ...

refreshing! happy!

it was good!! yeah!!

After having enough of snorkling, we got back to the shore and play...
the rest of the day can be summarised as "Camwhoring"...
we took dunno how many stupid, act cool, silly and some embarassing pictures... but yeah... when else will you have the excuse to camwhore so much... hahah

"just got back from snorkling"

Apply sunblock oso must take picts.. oooppss Narcism in progress

I like this picture... the true meaning of happiness!

Haiyah.. how come cannot jump higher leh...

Evidence that "Guys love to camwhore too!!"

Those are some of the highlights of the day....

Day 3 in Tioman was very short... most of the time was spent on the ferry and bus... very tiring but fun indeed. and guess wad, on our minibus, we met another 6 NUS ppl oso... haha... Actually the bus is just for 12 ppl. yah, so the whole bus is full of NUS ppl except for the driver.. hahah...

yup, overall this trip is very very fun... i got to try many things that i havent got the chance to do before... maybe it's becoz i went with friends then have more courage to try on these things... maybe if i go with parents they may not allow me to snorkle knowing that i dont know how to swim....

so where's the next stop???

haha

Tioman Island...

yep, i need to brag a bit in this post...
I went to Tioman from 9-11 May 2008...

at first when david n dipta was asking me to go for the trip, i wasnt particularly very excited to go coz i really dont know what to expect and dunno what is interesting there... then, they referred me to a website... http://www.discoverytours.com.sg/ and i begin to learn wad is interesting there...

yeah, i realised that most of the activities there are water related, which brings me another dilemma coz i dunno how to swim... but after many ppl assured me that u dun need to know how to swim to snorkle, then i agreed to go...

the journey starts on 9 May 2008 really early in the morning... took bus from Golden Mile complex to Tanjung Gemok....

the busride was kinda bumpy and the driver was kinda haphazard, i bumped my head to the window a few times as i was sleeping along the way... but luckily we arrived at Tanjung Gemok safely and was just on time for the ferry ride...

Talking abt ferry...it was super colddd!! we spend most of our time playing stupid games and of course not to forget our camwhoring session... the pictures taken on the deck of the ferry was nice... "i love outdoor lighting"... but my hair covers my face in most of the picts... sigh... it's okay, that way it looks much more natural...

when we arrived at the hotel...we were pretty amazed by it.. we were expecting something less grand than wad we saw... yup, the hotel was great...

after checking in and all that, we decided to be more adventurous and make the most out of our money... we went to a nearby beach to play and take picts....
but, out of our expectation, the sky turned rather dark... but we still brave ourselves to make our way to the beach..
lemme explain in a bit more details...
we walked past a group of monkiess hiding under the leaves, apparently trying to hide
then we tresspassed a golf course to get to the beach...
we managed to take 2 or 3 pictures before suddenly the sky really turns very very dark and we saw thunderstorm coming, wind blowing so hard that angita almost got flown away... omg! it was really scary at that moment that we "esp the girls" just ran all the way back to the main road... really din noe how we managed to ran so fast for such a long distance...must be the adrenalin rush....
luckily we managed to get back to to our hotel before the rain got really heavy...
fiuh... that was very scary... but maybe something to brag about hehe...
here are some of the pictures that we managed to take before all the saga begins

the rest of the first day was spent playing more n more games and eating BBQ buffet...

will continue on with the story of the 2nd day at tioman on the next post... this post too long alrd...
and i wanna sleep alrd... need to start looking for part time job tmrw...
hopefully i will get something worthwhile doing yeah...

PInK and bLacK..

yeah now that holiday is here, we have more things to blog, dont we? hahaha

okay, let's start from PINUS 08/09 exco first event...
PINK and BLACK seniors' BBQ...

Me, dipta n Milo was the so called "organisers"...kena sabo coz we ended exam earlier...haha...but it was a fun experience working with them...

oltho the event was good as a whole...but i think a lot of the ppl must be complaining abt the venue.... so so so sorry for our shortsightedness...
we forgot to consider that weekdays dun have public bus that will take ppl into the park.. in the end, must walk damn far in....and damn far out...

wad makes the event interesting is actually the theme itself...tho' it's just a random idea that came to our mind...PINK and Black... --> think the dress code...

Honestly speaking, in dun get to really enjoy the event itself coz was too occupied with planning and ensuring that the whole event goes smoothly... but yeah, it was all worth it...
and at the end of the day, some of us got drenched due to the sudden pouring...blerrghhh

here are some of the picts taken that nite...

Greatest achievement of the day...

Now that exam is over... yay!!!
i have all the time in the world to catch up on everything that i've missed out during the mugging period...

Nice food... check
Nice Movie...check (Ironman is super uber cool!!!)
shopping... not really in the mood... which is a good way to save money...

but the greatest achievement for today is that i managed to put on contact lense already....though it still took very long... At last I managed to overcome fear of touching my own eyeball.. not totally yet though, still fighting so hard not to blink when i'm not supposed to...

FYI, abt 3 years ago, before VJ prom nite, I wanted to put on the contact lense oso but with no avail... i spent 1 hour in front of the attitude problem lady who just dun have the patience to teach me how to wear it... at the end of the day, all i get is just a red eye and bad mood..

but this time round is different, the uncle who sold the contact lense was really patient and encouraging...Though i spend the same amount of time at the shop (1 hour), but at the end of that 1 hour i managed to put in the contact lense to my left eye... i dunno why my right eye is super duper stubborn.... super hard to get in and once it got in, super duper hard to take out...

Must oso thank yeanching who were accompanying my to test the contact lense though she was waiting for her bus back to klang... i think without her encouragement i will be too scared to do it... haha

Now i realised, determination is all it takes to make the "impossible" possible

Then tonite, was out celebrating Daniel's and sze chao's early birthday...
It was very nice of them to treat us dinner and drinks at Pump room@clarke quay.... nice place with great live band...

okie...time to sleep so i can settle wadever i need to settle tmrw...

Yay! looking forward to tioman trip this friday....

Girls' coffee

just heard this nice song from the radio...
yes, it's a chinese song and i love to listen to chinese songs while studying...

basically i keep hearing this song playing on the background when the Dj was talking and find this song very meaningful...
The title is 女人们的咖啡 Nv Ren Men De Ka Fei - which means Girls' coffee
I said that it's meaningful because it talks about girls' friendship...
i dun really understand the entire lyrics but roughly it talks about how only girl can understand girl best...
especially besties... whom you can pour out to and confide in...

the chorus goes like this...
男人总不懂女人眼泪真实的意义
女人猜不透男人忽然沉默的背景
有时候爱情
不如和你喝咖啡有趣
-for the benefit of those who cant read chinese- i shall translate a bit
it roughly means:
guys dun really understand the true meaning of girls' tears
girls cant really figure out what is behind a guy's quietness
sometimes love life
is not as interesting as having coffee with you...

it's really the literal translation...*i used dictionary to check up the meaning of some of the words too...=P* as tho i got so much time to waste...

here's the complete lyrics
